چکیده

In atomic physics, the Hund's rule states that largest spin and orbital state is realized due to interplay of spin-orbit coupling (SOC) Coulomb interactions. Here, we show in ferromagnetic solids effective SOC magnetic moment can be dramatically enhanced by a factor $1/[1\ensuremath{-}(2{U}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{-}U\ensuremath{-}{J}_{H}){\ensuremath{\rho}}_{0}]$, where $U$ ${U}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ are on-site interaction within same orbitals between different orbitals, respectively, ${J}_{H}$ coupling, ${\ensuremath{\rho}}_{0}$ average density states. This obtained using two-orbital as well five-orbital Hubbard models with SOC. We also find polarization more favorable than polarization, being consistent experimental observations. The theory extended study fluctuations long-range interactions, applied understand giant Faraday effect nanogranules recent experiments. present paper provides fundamental basis for understanding enhancements interactions ferromagnets, which would have wide applications spintronics.

Electron Orbital Angular Momentum and Spin- Orbit Coupling in Superconductivity

Received DOI: 2 Superconductivity arises when solids have conducting bands (singly occupied wave functions) that do not have electron-nuclear scattering (Fermi contact) and the temperature is low enough to eliminate partial wave scattering of electrons. This means that the conducting bands do not include s basis functions (atomic quantum numbers l ,m = 0), and the temperature is low enough so t...

Orbital order and spin–orbit coupling in BaVS3

The correlated 3d sulphide BaVS3 undergoes a sequence of three symmetry breaking transitions which are reflected in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, and its anisotropy. We introduce a microscopic model based on the coexistence of wide band a1g and localized eg d-electrons, and give the classification of the order parameters under the double space group and time reversa...

Nonlinear spin dynamics in ferromagnets with electron-nuclear coupling

Nonlinear spin motion in ferromagnets is considered with nonlinearity due to three factors: (i) the sample is prepared in a strongly nonequilibrium state, so that evolution equations cannot be linearized as would be admissible for spin motion not too far from equilibrium, (ii) the system considered consists of interacting electron and nuclear spins coupled with each other via hyperfine forces, ...

Spin and Orbital Order in Itinerant Ferromagnets

The long-standing problem of the effect of correlations on the ferromagnetism of transition metals is apparently nearing solution. The ferromagnetism of transition metal compounds, for instance doped manganites, poses a new question: is there some kind of orbital order coexisting with itinerant ferromagnetism? The ideas and techniques introduced by Gutzwiller should be of use again.

Axial rotation, orbital revolution and solar spin–orbit coupling

The orbital motion of the Sun has been linked with solar variability, but the underlying physics remains unknown. A coupling of the solar axial rotation and the barycentric orbital revolution might account for the relationships found. Some recent published studies addressing the physics of this problem have made use of equations from rotational physics in order to model particle motions. Howeve...
